How We Got Started
Dan and Heidi got started after a sudden death in the family. To lose Heidi’s mom unexpectedly was hard enough but six months later when the family went to go purchase her headstone, they were met with an even more troublesome surprise.
The local monument company was unfriendly, over priced, and had an extremely long wait time for the stone, 6 months! Frustrated and feeling put out, Dan and Heidi turned their search for a monument online.
It was then that they came across a new technology that allowed for laser to permanently burn an image into stone and other materials. Intrigued, Dan and Heidi invested every last cent they had into the technology producing their first ever headstone for Heidi’s mother.
From there the business started to grow. In short, Roasted Stone Memorials is a small business triumph. Friends, family and clients all marvel at the dedication and creativity Dan puts into each design. Never wanting another family to share in their unhappy experience, Dan takes great care when it comes to the families experiencing the loss of a loved one. It is important that these lives are celebrated, not forgotten in a sea of plan stone.
